The Florida East Coast Railway Society is proud to announce an exclusive charter trip utilizing US Sugar Steam Locomotive 148
Friday evening will be a tour of the USSC Steam Shop along with night time photo ops with the fully restored 148 locomotive.
Saturday morning we will board our train for a special excursion across the rare mileage from Clewiston through South Bay, Belle Glade, Pahokee, and east towards Ft Pierce. Weather permitting we'll be treated to photo runbys at multiple locations along the route. A hot catered lunch is included in your ticket and will be served onboard the train the lounge/diner car.
Sunday we'll have the chance to experience US Sugar's "Raisin' Cane" tour. The tour will show first-hand how the sugar cane is grown, harvested, and transported to the mill via rail. Our tour will have special emphasis on the rail aspects of the cane operations.
