Come Join Us September 5th-8th in Jacksonville Florida
Thursday we’ll be setting up the FECnTrak layout and visiting, Friday we visit the North Florida Railroad Museum in Green Cove Springs, and Saturday we’ll be at FEC Railway’s Bowden Yard for plenty of behind-the-scenes access and get inside an FEC Locomotive!
We will have banquet dinners Friday and Saturday nights with a special guest speaker each night - Friday from Florida Dispatch Company and Saturday from FEC.

Activities

Friday

Friday our chartered motorcoaches will transport the group from the hotel to the North Florida Railroad Museum. While the museum is still a work in progress, we will have special access to the equipment that’s onsite and we’ll be up-close with some of the restoration work that’s in progress. We’ll follow the museum visit with a catered BBQ lunch, and more rail-based activities on our way back to base.

Saturday

On Saturday we will make our way to FEC's Bowden Yard. We’ll get behind the scenes access – how about a close up look at the NEW FEC business cars? Climbing inside an FEC locomotive? How about actually getting to see the inside of Florida Dispatch Company’s dispatch center?

Banquet Dinners

We will have banquet dinners Friday and Saturday nights with a special guest speaker each night.

Our speaker on Friday evening will be Kenny Hall, General Manager of Florida Dispatch Company. DispatchCo is a separate corporation jointly owned by FEC and Brightline that is responsible for all of the dispatching operations on the corridor. Mr. Hall’s presentation will be an excellent lead-in to Saturday morning’s visit to Bowden yard.

Our speaker on Saturday will be Brook Hartzog, Chief Operating Officer of the Florida East Coast Railway.
